Questions for you all: Would you like Royal Fumble better if the winner was based on who held the tail for the most amount of time based on a cumulative total? My wife suggested the idea and I really dug it.

A lot of people suggest this, but while it might be more fair, I don't think it would really be more fun to play. I know for one thing once someone had the tail for any decent amount of time most people would just stop playing, knowing they wouldn't be able to catch up, which would be really boring. The idea that you can still win by even in the last second is a good thing to encourage people to keep trying. Sometimes to you need to have that allure of a last chance comeback to make things interesting.

To put it another way, take note of the complaints about Fall Mountain, where people feel like if they don't start in first they don't have any chance of winning. While not technically true, the odds are still against you, and it doesn't feel fun to play with that idea in your head. Changing Royal Fumble's rules would feel like ten times that. Even if it sucks to have the tail forever and you lose it right before the end, I think overall it's still more of a fun party game for everyone that way.

Yeah, I did beetle hunting last night. Probably took around two hours to get them all.

Not much to do but to choose the right island (preferably with no rivers or ponds), clear all flowers and trees except palm trees, plant more, and scare off everything else. I think the limit is like 5 bugs spawned at a time or something? The biggest nuisances are the dung beetles since they can spawn on the ground and don't usually fly off until you run right next to them. Because of that the best island to force beetle spawns is probably something like the bamboo island, since there's no cliffs that they can spawn on forcing you to climb them to shoo them off.

I went villager hunting last week and couldn't find anyone good, so the game gave me Sherb from someone else's town. A few days later another friend of mine got Sherb. Then when I visited a different friend I pointed out they had Sherb... Why is he EVERYWHERE?

Well... the version of the game I'm imagining would have the time limit to pick a tile to stand on tick down faster and faster, to the point where you'd only have a second or two to rush to the correct one. I don't think having a pic or a note to look at would help there.

I think the fruit game would be better as a true memory game. I don't know why it works the way it does where you're shown the symbols each time.

Instead just have it show all the symbols in the beginning for a decent amount of time, then for the rest of the game just cycle through different fruit, so people will have to rely only on their memories until the game ends. Have it constantly speed up as the rounds continue and eventually make it so it becomes extremely difficult to keep up regardless of what you remember forcing you to think quickly and require you to have the reaction time to make it to a correct space at all. Continue until the eliminations arrive, even if it's just by sheer exhaustion.

I can't speak for the experimental card changes since I haven't tried them out yet, but despite all the nerfs she got she's still one of the best supports in the game. She has the best AoE healing next to Moira, with the difference being she has wayyyyyy more utility. Moira is becoming more and more of a throw pick as damage is getting better since she really can't do anything else besides heal, which is worthless if your team is just instantly being deleted. Brig has good targeted healing, great AoE healing, a stun, a knockback, can block and cancel abilities and ultimates, can deal damage while healing, and has the single best Support ultimate in the game currently, one which charges extremely fast to boot. These healing nerfs are definitely going to hurt her hard, but they still don't affect her utility, and you should be playing her with another main healer anyway imo.

IMO shes a bit of a pet peeve, shes not...really a healer. Her heals are passive and rely on her fighting. They're not reliable.

I mean, I feel while she has difficulty going in on an attack, this problem isn't much of concern with teamwork. People need to learn not to play poke games, it's a terrible strategy. Nothing sucks more when you have teammates that are too afraid to go in and be aggressive and get value so they just sit at the chokepoint for five minutes until overtime kicks in and they realize they actually need to do something to win the game. If you can get your tanks to actually push in with you then Brig doesn't have trouble getting her healing off. On defense this is less a concern unless your entire team is running a sporadic dive-y comp...

Yeah, the team games are fine in a group, although that doesn't mean it's not a problem. Probably sucks to be in a team of randoms while everyone else is grouped up.

I managed a win on every kind of final game. The mountain one is really hard imo just because it's so easy for any individual to win. If you start off in front it's fairly simple to run away with the whole game since the obstacles are all pretty easy. Everyone else is out of luck.

I'm surprised by how good these non-legendary challenge skins are. Sandcastle Bastion is really cool, and I have no idea how Dessert Orisa doesn't count as a legendary, it's amazing.

I've been playing with friends and it's pretty great, but yeah you need to play with people that don't take it too seriously and have the mindset that this is just a dumb party game to have fun with. I personally don't mind the randomness of some of the games (I love Door Dash because of how hilarious it is to see everyone stumbling over each other) and even if I get knocked out early I have fun watching my friends struggle and stumbled around in the following matches.

The family argument is silly. How much does it cost to buy a DVD or Blu Ray for a family to watch together? This price is insulting.

I mean considering that a Disney Plus account can have seven users on it, it's a bit of tricky decision to make if you're on the business side of things trying to calculate how much money you could lose on whatever price point you choose. There's no way this is going to equal "$30 per viewer" in any way, shape or form, and that's not even getting into piracy.

That said I don't really believe "Mulan" looks like it's worth paying any amount of money for.
